FAQ

Which devices and software versions support eSIM?
  • iPhone: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and every later model support eSIM. The iPhone must not be locked to a network provider. Most iPhones sold in mainland China don't support eSIM.
  • Android: Many recent Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Android phones support eSIM, depending on the exact model and the country it was sold in.
  • Not sure? See the list of supported devices, or dial *#06#: if your phone shows an EID, it supports eSIM.
In what scenarios can eSIM service be used?
  • Add a local data plan when traveling internationally.
  • Use eSIM for data while keeping your primary SIM for voice and SMS.
How to set up eSIM for iOS/Android?
  • Buy an eSIM data plan on our website or in our Telegram bot.
  • Open My eSIMs: the QR code and activation code appear there once the eSIM is issued. Website orders also get them by email, Telegram orders in a message from the bot.

How fast is the network speed?

4G/LTE service is available in most countries, in some countries 5G is also available.

Are voice calls and SMS included?

Only data service is available.

Can I use more than one eSIM provider when traveling abroad?

Yes. A phone can store several eSIM profiles, so you can keep your own line and add a travel eSIM. How many can be active at once depends on the phone: supported iPhone models can use two active eSIMs, and Pixel 7 and later can use two eSIM profiles at the same time where the carrier allows it; other phones may allow only one active eSIM. Label your eSIMs so you can tell them apart.

How to use hotspots with eSIM?

On iOS, APNs are preconfigured except for Japan (set APN to be “vmobile.jp”). For Android issues, contact customer service for support.

How to use dual SIM on iPhone and set up eSIM?

Dual SIM offers separate voice/SMS and data plans. Follow specific iPhone steps to configure eSIM for cellular data only.

Should I switch on Data Roaming when using eSIM?

Yes. Turn Data Roaming on for the travel eSIM: abroad, that is how it connects to local networks, and it costs nothing beyond your plan. To avoid roaming charges from your home carrier, keep data roaming off for your own SIM.

How to remove the eSIM data plan after use?

Use your phone's delete eSIM function in settings.

How do I get my eSIM after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, the QR code and activation code appear in My eSIMs on our website or in the Mini App, usually within a few minutes. Website orders are also sent to the email address on your account (check the spam folder if it is not there); Telegram orders are also sent as a message from our bot.

How is the validity period of the plan calculated?

Validity starts from your eSIM's first connection, as described in the package information.

When does the billing period or validity start?

Data plans will only begin counting usage once customers make their first connection to the local network.

How to check the balance of remaining data?

Check "My eSIMs" tab in our mini app or telegram bot.

How to Top Up a data plan?
